In Term 4, the Grade 4/5/6s use the drama skills they have developed over the years to present a series of drama skits. They perform before the class and each pieces is evaluated by other students. Each week, the students are given a 'Theatre Goal' (dramatic techniques/skills to focus on) and after their performance, student judges give a score out of 10 based on how well they executed the weeks objective.
- Week 1 -
Helping Hands is a fun activity to promote teamwork. The students work in pairs (1 being the hands and 1 the voice) while acting their scene. Their goal is to try and connect the hand gestures with the dialogue.
- Week 2 -
Students create a short performance using a given location. As the students are performing, they must take on direction given by the teacher. For example: "Everyone needs to be sad/angry/frightened"
- Expressive Skills
- Facial Expression
- Week 3 -
Super silly and lots of fun. One student is the voice, one student is the body. How well will students perform on Australia's Got Talent?
